Ambos equipos debutaban en el Torneo Clausura 2005 de Primera División de Rugby, organizado por la URTDF. Universitario jugó en forma demoledora ante Orcas Rugby, venciéndolo 38-7 con un gran juego de conjunto desarrollado en el segundo tiempo.

Orcas Rugby Club: Gon, Heredia, Olmos, Ochoa, Cárcamo, Hogas, Ibalo, Hiriart, Cárdenas, Gorosito, Perry, Bugallo, Enchieme, Lagos Lamas y Toledo

Primer tiempo: 4' try de Heredia convertido por él mismo (O). 18' try de Turdó (U). 38' try de Páez convertido por Fosciatti (U).
Segundo tiempo: 4' try de Almada convertido por Fosciatti (U). 16' try de Páez convertido por Fosciatti (U). 28' y 35' tries de Cichero, el último convertido por Fosciatti (U).
